Give me my throat back!

My sister is eating Spicy Doritos and popcorn — right in front of me.

This wouldn’t be such a big deal if I could swallow.

This morning, as I got ready for work (I went in to make up for being out Tues/Weds), my throat was a little sore. By the time I got home early this afternoon, I was having a bitch of a time swallowing.

I talked to my aunt a little while ago. She said this virus has been going around, and even with antibiotics it takes forever to go away.

I thought I was home free. I spent yesterday eating pretty normal food — as opposed to soup and oatmeal. I was saving the Doritos for today.

I can smell those delicious spicy nacho chips from five feet away, and it’s driving me crazy.

  1. Or maybe you need your tonsils removed (if they aren’t already). :)

  2. Get well NOW! I’m sorry you feel crumby. And to think you can’t eat what you want. I have had a love affair with food for as long as I can remember and have gained a reputation for being quite talented at being able to stuff my fast with copious amounts of it. (=-

Take care of that throat E. You’ll be sucking down Doritos in no time. (=-

I was since for almost two (02) weeks and all I really could do was lie around and kind of wait it out. Bummer.

  4. @Sarcastica: I will DESTROY you if you just jinxed me on that. :P

@Ted: I’ve been sick for just about two weeks now, too. Everyone I talk to whose been sick says the same thing, that it takes forever to go away.

@Faiqa: Thank you! I hope so, too.

  6. @Ted: Thank you for asking. Unfortunately, not really. D: I’ll feel better one day and then worse the next, and usually by the evening I’ll feel like I’ve got a fever (no thermometer in the house, grrr). How about you?

  7. Well, I kind of feel like I’m sinking down into a rut. It’s as though I’m trying to climb out of a sand pit, ya know. My back’s not 100% and because it hasn’t been, I haven’t been able to train for my school which begins 17 FEB. It’s kinda a big deal. And well, if I don’t get selected I’ll have to think of another plan for the future. Anyway, it’s a bunch I guess, more than comment type details. Haha! I’m okay, just kind of regrouping I suppose. (=- Thanks. *squeeze*

  8. @Ted: I hear ya. It’s no good to try to keep doing things if your back is hurting, though. You should get as much rest as possible and hopefully you’ll be healed in time to start school. What are you going for?

I hope you feel better. I know what it’s like to be in pain like that. /:
